News Report: The Southern African Development Conference decided that President Mugabe of Zimbabwe should relinquish chairmanship of the SADC organ that decides on the deployment of SADC military forces.

Date: 2000/08/03
Speculation has it that Pres Mugabe will be losing control of a certain
organ that is very dear to his heart.

Comments have been received from the following:

The Economist: Just because a man's a tool, doesn't mean he can handle an organ.

The Emperor Nero: I always thought it was a fiddle, but he can't play it anyway.

Mrs Mugabe: I can assure you he hasn't had control of it for ages.

Professor Isosceles Vilikazi:

The President's senility
Outweighs his poor ability
To even drive a bicycle
Or exercise 'most any skill
And therefore I must strongly state
That he should quite 'fore it's too late
A man who can't compete with Morgan
Just ain't fit to run an organ.

It is believed that, if SADC does indeed take the organ away from Mugabe, he
will be offered another post commensurate with his stature and
qualifications.

At the moment, however, SADC is divided as to whether this should be making
the tea or mowing the lawn.
