Date: 2000-12-12 09:58:27 PST Pretoria, Tuesday - Reuters reports that the South African government has established a Commission of Enquiry to investigate why Warthogs should wish their tests to be ignored. Speaking on condition of strict anonymity, Mr Vicegrip Kumalo explained that the ignoring of Warthog tests was almost certainly linked to racism. Accordingly, he explained, a high level commission of enquiry was justified. It is expected that the commission will comprise 10 senior ANC members, each of whom will be paid a thousand rand a day. Hearings will take place at various venues around the country. Although Mr Kumalo couldn't specify exactly where the venues would be at this stage, he assured us that they would be five star, and the food and booze would be plentiful. The work of the commission will take three years, or longer if possible. In order to ensure impartiality, the government has asked an eminent outsider, Professor Isosceles Vilikazi, to chair the commission. Prof Vilikazi is a well known inventor, academic and political observer, based at Nymandhlovu in Zimbabwe. When asked to comment, Professor Vilikazi said, "Fuck off, I'm on holiday."
